True or False: Do female Gorillasand Monkeys Menstruate

Image result for gorillas and orangutans
Most monkeys living in Africa and Asia, such as rhesus macaques, menstruate. Great apes do it too. Menstrual bleeding is easily detectable in chimpanzees and gibbons. However, gorillas and orang-utans bleed less copiously, so menstruation is only visible on closer inspection.

The campaign that encouraged millions of people to dump buckets of ice-cold water over their heads raised enough money to help make an important research breakthrough, the ALS Association announced Monday.
The massive, socially-driven fund raising push saw 17 million people posting videos online and a slew of celebrities from Bill Gates to Steph Curry getting soaked to raise awareness for ALS, also called Lou Gehrig's disease.
The disease causes nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to gradually deteriorate. Within two to five years of diagnosis, patients lose their ability to breathe, leading to their death.
n just eight weeks, $115 million was donated to the ALS Association, 67% of which was dedicated to advancing research for treatments and a cure, the non-profit reports.

The man who shot U.S. President Ronald Reagan in 1981 has been granted "full-time convalescent leave.

A federal judge on Wednesday granted John Hinckley Jr., the man who shot President Ronald Reagan in 1981, "full-time convalescent leave" from St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

The order allows Hinckley, Jr. to live full-time in Williamsburg, Virginia, but still under certain restrictions.
Hinckley and his lawyers appeared in federal court in April 2015 and argued that he had been successfully rehabilitated from his illness and that he deserved a release. But prosecutors worried that his family, struggling to pay the bills to treat his illness, could afford to take care of him.
Hinckley was 25 when he shot Reagan and three others outside the Washington Hilton 35 years ago. James Brady, the White House press secretary who was hit in the shooting, died in 2014 due to injuries from the assassination attempt, though authorities announced earlier this year that they would not pursue additional charges.

Tips for the Health Conscious Traveler

    1. Seek out special wellness perks.

Some hotels offer free yoga classes and workout studios and will rent exercise gear in case you forgot anything at home.

    2. Ask for a jogging map.

Many concierges can suggest routes for runners that include great views and sightseeing.

    3. Research local dining options for salads and smoothies.

Also check the room-service menu online ahead of time to see if it offers healthy options in a pinch.

    4. Ensure the hotel room is spotless.

Don’t be afraid to ask if all the bedding has been changed or to request hypoallergenic pillows. See if the hotel has duvets (rather than comforters) since their covers are easier to clean. The Chamberlain in West Hollywood has premium duvets and bedding in each room.

    5. Ask for a room with a standing shower.

Bathtubs and Jacuzzis are notoriously difficult to clean.

    6. Request a room that is smoke-free and restricts pets.

Avoid dander and lingering allergens. Pet-friendly rooms often have strong chemical odors.

    7. Wear socks around the hotel room to protect against germs.

    Never go barefoot.

    8. Use antibacterial wipes

on in-room phones, remotes, light switches, faucets, and alarm clocks.

    9. Use the individually wrapped paper or plastic cups

in the room instead of glassware, which might be cleaned only with a rag and can of antibacterial spray.

    10. Ask for room upgrades to preferred-guest floors.

These receive the most vigilant housekeeping and are the least noisy. They’re often far from hotel bars and have the best views.

Donald Trump Invites Russia to Hack Hilary Clinton Emails

    • Donald Trump alledgedly used a press conference to call for Russia to hack Hillary Clinton. He referenced 33,000 emails missing from a private server Clinton used while secretary of state.
    • Donald Trump appeared to call on Russian intelligence agencies Wednesday to find 30,000 of Hillary Clinton's deleted emails, adding a stunning twist to the uproar over Moscow's alleged intervention in the presidential election.
"They probably have her 33,000 e-mails. I hope they do. They probably have her 33,000 e-mails that she lost and deleted because you'd see some beauties there. So let's see," Trump said at a news conference in Florida.

The new developments over emails and alleged Russian espionage thickened the plot of the Cold War-style drama that has been gathering around the Democratic convention in Philadelphia all week after leaked messages between top party officials appeared on WikiLeaks and seemed to show that they had tilted the primary campaign against Clinton's opponent Bernie Sanders.
U.S. officials have said there's "little doubt" that Moscow is behind the hack of emails from DNC servers.
In his comments, the billionaire businessman implied that he would be open to Moscow staging a new hack against the United States to find the emails, or that he wanted to use intelligence produced from earlier spying to benefit his political campaign.
"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press," Trump said during a news conference in Florida.
"They probably have them. I'd like to have them released," he continued. "Now, if Russia or China or any other country has those e-mails, I mean, to be honest with you, I'd love to see them."

WWE Wrestler Dead At 45! What is happening

Former WWE superstar Joan Marie Laurer, also known as Chyna, has died at the age of 45, her manager said in a statement on Twitter early Thursday.
The immediate cause of death was unknown. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner told FOX411 she was found dead in her Redondo Beach, Calif., home on Wednesday afternoon.

Her manager told Pro Wrestling Sheet she had been taking medication for anxiety and sleep deprivation. The coroner's office is investigating if her death could have been an accidental overdose. Still, the office has not ruled anything out.
"It was reported as a possible overdose or an accidental overdose or as natural causes. I understand that she evidently had a history of drug use so we’re looking at everything," Winter explained.

In a bizarre video posted on her YouTube channel on Sunday, Chyna was seen with smudged makeup, drinking water and juice. The star made a smoothie during the 13-minute video and wore feathers as she took the camera around her home and rambled to fans.
In 1999, Laurer became the first woman to participate in the WWF’s Royal Rumble event. Later that year she broke another barrier by becoming the first woman to participate in the King of The Ring tournament — which had mostly been dominated by male performers — and shared a championship belt.
After issues with WWE, Laurer and the company parted ways in 2001.
She left the wrestling business altogether in 2011 after stops at New Japan Pro Wrestling and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
In between her wrestling career, Laurer started in six adult films and was featured on four seasons of “The Surreal Life,” “My Fair Brady” and “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” on VH1.
Ultimately, Laurer struggled with substance abuse. Former boyfriend and wrestler Sean Waltman told the Calgary Sun in 2005 that she was battling drug and alcohol-related issues as well as a mental illness.
After a reported domestic abuse incident involving Waltman in that same year, the New York Post reported that she had stripped naked and jumped into a fish tank at a New York nightclub. Later, during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show, she reportedly was slurring her words and didn’t deny wanting to do cocaine if it was placed in front of her.
